I was on the floor, I was cold. More and more cold.
I’ve been waiting in the dark, in the cold, in solitude. One long night, one long morning. But nobody was coming, nobody was doing anything.
Then she noticed my door was locked. She called everyone, so that I could be discovered, finally.
But they said she gave the alarm after the police arrived. It wasn’t true, you know now.
Why did they lie, father? Did you ask them? Why did they want you to hate the wrong persons? Why did they want to ruin you too? Have they been using us, dad, for their career? Have they been using you? Have they been using me and my death?
Sister, I wanted to show you all the pictures and videos I took. I kept them in my computer for you to see. Father, I wanted you to read my research, it was in my computer. Mother, I wanted you too to read my writings and to see my pictures.
But they burned my computer. They didn’t tell you who did it, they didn’t repay you, they didn’t even apologize.
There was all my life in that computer, it should belong to you now. But father, mother, sister, brothers, you didn’t get anything, because they burned it. They destroyed everything I was leaving to you.
Father, are you asking them damages, at least now, that they abandoned you, after that they made you spend all your money?
Mother, it was so simple. But they wanted to blame my girl friend. Why did they do it, mum? Why did they have to ruin her life too? Why did they have to deceive you?
Why did they lie about the call? Why did they lie about the shoe-prints, about the sweatshirt? Why did they say that she had burned the computers? Why did they destroy so much evidence?
Brother, they showed me naked and butchered in front of everyone. Did you ask them why they did it?
Brother, the signature of my murderer is on the pillow. It just needs to be tested. But they didn’t. Did you ask them why?
Father, why you want to be fooled? So many people inquire about my death, and you? Don’t you want to know? Do you just want to blame my girl friend? Then you complain that she gets famous and rich.
Did you ask them why they pretended not to see the stain on that pillow, why they refuse to test it then? Ask tomorrow, father, to test that stain, and you will know who killed me.

Frank, all of these questions need to be asked and we wouldnt have to ask them, had Mignini not ran with his evil theory from day one. Shame on him and shame on all those who have spread lies over the past 4 years. This family has been blinded by the lies and will never see the truth or have peace until they choose to do so.

It is just so tragic that the Kerchers don’t seem to understand the real truth here and that they have been so blatantly used by the Perugian authorities. Hopefully one day they will get it.

I agree!! The failure to test the apparent semen stains on a pillow case under poor Meredith’s bare hips smeared by Rudy stepping in it is one the most incredibly unjust actions that defies logic and the truth. The prosecution and cops want to be seen as standing for truth and justice and yet they cannot do a test that would be done by EVERY other police force on this planet. They make lame excuses, when there is no justification for such a position not to test it. NONE! Yes, it protects Rudy from possible further assult in prison if its not clear he left it, and it protects the prosecution and cops from further criticism as to why they did not properly prosecute the person who left it and who will be free to harm again. Yet the Kercher’s justifiablystill want to know the truth, and the ones who know what it is are the very ones who are hiding it. I hope the Kerchers find the truth, test that stain!
Really sad Frank. Thanks for writing this beautiful piece. Even today Stephanie Kercher released a letter through Francesco Maresca. She writes of the fear of never knowing the truth and hands the letter to a man who helped make that happen to distribute. It’s such a tragedy. Your piece, if they would only start to listen to you, could lead them to the truth.
Frank you wrote what I was thinking too, but in a most powerful way. It’s so clear to me they were exploited by Maresca and Migninni, yes those two probably have a loud voice, and powerful tone and passion to win.
But then there are the facts, the common sense logic that only Rudy was making up a typical blame someone else alibi, and unfortunately Maresca and Migninni sided with the murderer!
They instead of using common sense logic chose to start uttering nonsense like “I find Rudy credible” and Commode’s toilet approach.
Maybe after they read Hellmans report it will make more sense?
But how can anyone not understand Amanda did not stab anyone with that knife? There was no blood on it per the police, there as no cleaning of the knife, and nothing in the crevice but starch.
Thats just for starters, in the beginner mode. The common sense logic that Migninni and Maresca’s case was completely skewed in the wrong way.
But if a person cant understand the knife is not part of this case based of fiction, then maybe there is no hope for that person to understand anything.
Mignini is responsible…and so is Maresca as is every single person involved in such deception. I feel badly the family, even if I am frustrated. It’s been four years and hopefully they WILL find the truth…it’s been here all along.

It amazes me how many people, read the tabloids and believe it. This is not about the “Montaques and Capulets” (good and evil) as the British Tabloids presents the information. In my readings about this case, I have been searching for the answer, why and what motive would Amanda & Raffaelle do this? My next overall problem has been, little evidence in consideration to the mountain of information collected to prove their guilt that was not tested or went missing (computer emails, phone tapping, pillow test, …
It becomes very clear that the prosecutor allowed the media to create their case for them! Do you think that “Migninni” got kick-backs for news paper sales?
Today, I saw in the British tabloid that Amanda was dress as a burglar for Halloween! What a bunch of “Wank”! Amanda was only dressed-up as “Seattle Sounders FC” fan! It was written on her scarf! The Sounders wear beards and mustaches!

The only lie that Amanda made is the one about the Police not hitting her! There is no doubt in my mind her attorney requested her to recant her charge because it would be one against 12+, of course the film (video) of the century wasn’t taped!

This guilter’s first name looks familiar to me. I remember seeing it posted on an article about Amanda’s release from prison. He commented first under the name “Paul”, then as “Paul & Friends”, though I suspect both of these posts were from one person. I won’t even repeated what he said, it was that vicious, but it says quite alot about his character (or lack of it).
On the other hand, I’m not saying that Mr. Salvatori is the same Paul who made those posts, but if he is, shame on him! And if he’s really capable of doing what he says Amanda deserves, then one of these days he’ll be facing his own prison term. Maybe he can share a cell with Rudy…
Wonder why is the family is not demanding answers from the prosecuter. Why aren’t they demanding proof that more than one person did it..what proof is there..words written by a judge who got it wrong? They keep saying they trust the italian justice system, yet they disagree with the ruling of the higher court. They are chosing to turn a blind eye to the truth. Why?
Thank you Frank for re-humanizing Meredith. I believe that many who profess to be her champions need a reminder that Meredith was not the hallucination they have created in their minds.
